Degree Completion Letters
Your degree should be posted to your record within a few weeks after graduation if your undergraduate school/college is monitored by the Office of the Registrar's Degree Audit Office (i.e. L & S). After your degree has been posted to your student record and shows up on your transcript, you may request a letter of degree certification, if you wish. This may be requested at 333 East Campus Mall #10101 and usually can be produced while you wait.
If you require proof of completion of your degree prior to its posting on your record, you also may request a letter of completion in Suite #10101. (In order to generate this letter, we will need to get documentation from another office which can verify that you have satisfied all degree requirements.) Since a letter of completion cannot be produced until we receive the appropriate academic verification, you may arrange for a later pick-up and/or drop off a pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelope for the document to be mailed out.
For graduate students that have a thesis or dissertation option, the academic verification is done through the Graduate School. If you are an undergraduate in the school/college of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Business, Dance, Occupational Therapy, Engineering, Toxicology, Human Ecology, or are an undergraduate student in the Medical School, you must provide us with written authorization from your school or college's student services area verifying that all your degree requirements have been met before we can issue a completion letter.
